Committees & Board
Committees are established by the Board to assist with specific areas of community operations and activities. Committee members are responsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out the activities and projects within their designated area, while keeping the Board informed of significant matters. The Board provides oversight, approves budgets and recommendations as needed, and retains final decision-making authority for all Association matters. Board members may choose to serve on or assist committees as volunteers but are not required to participate in committee activities.
The success of Grantwood depends on resident involvement. We welcome all homeowners to lend their talents and contribute to our community. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to us at grantwoodhoanc@gmail.com.

Social Committee
The Social Committee plans and coordinates community events and activities that encourage neighbor involvement and foster a sense of community. Responsibilities may include organizing events, coordinating volunteers, communicating event details to residents, managing approved event budgets, and overseeing event operations.

Architectural Committee
The Architectural Committee reviews homeowner requests for exterior modifications and improvements to ensure compliance with the community's governing documents and architectural guidelines. This may include reviewing requests related to additions, fencing, sheds, landscaping, and other visible property changes.

Boat Storage Committee
The Boat Storage Committee oversees the operation and administration of the community boat storage area. Responsibilities may include managing space assignments, maintaining waiting lists, monitoring compliance with storage rules, coordinating maintenance needs, and making recommendations to the Board regarding boat storage policies and improvements.
